Unless you have been living under the world’s most blissful sounding rock then you are probably aware the United States are gearing up for one of their dreadful elections on Tuesday. As ever, it’s not much of a choice – albeit one with what feels like a fairly definitive correct answer – but in a nation as politically divided as America it is becoming increasingly hard to stay neutral.
Brands don’t want to get involved too much in politics. It’s not an entirely unreasonable decision. After all, it can take years of hard work to build something approaching brand loyalty in a customer, which can be completely eradicated in moments with just one message that doesn’t sit well with their views.
