Audible investing in an AI narration tool which will make more books available to listen to seems, on the face of it, a win for both publishers and consumers.

Publishers will be able to get more of their libraries available in a new format and those consumers who prefer audiobooks will have more choice than ever.

The announcement Amazon will bring its AI production technology to “select partnerships” this week, with an option to choose from 100 AI-generated voices across English, Spanish, French and Italian, should be an exciting one. And it could be. Audible chief executive Bob Carrigan certainly thinks so.
