Former Sky Sports marketing boss joins Dazn
Dave Stratton is joining the sports and entertainment platform as executive vice-president of marketing.
Dave Stratton, former marketing lead at Sky Sports, is joining live sports platform Dazn as executive vice-president of marketing.
In the newly-created role, Stratton, a Marketing Week Top 100 Most Effective Marketer in 2023 and 2024, will be focusing on the platform’s global boxing and football verticals across more than 200 markets, including the launch of FIFA+, the World Cup archive, later this year.
He will report to Dazn’s CEO of growth markets Pete Oliver, the business’s former chief marketing officer.
Stratton’s appointment comes after leaving Sky Sports last July, where he was most recently marketing director of Sky Sports and Now.

He spent over four years at Sky after joining the broadcaster as marketing director for broadband and connectivity, with his recent remit covered brand strategy, growth marketing, brand advertising and customer communications.
Since October 2025, he has been an associate lecturer in sports marketing at Birkbeck University, a position he will continue.
He was also responsible for Sky’s Marketing Excellence Programme, its training, capability, and development initiative for all the groups marketers.
Before Sky, he spent five years at competitor BT, latterly as brand and performance director for BT, BT Sport and Plusnet.
