He joined Sainsbury’s in 2013 and was promoted to chief marketing and sustainability officer six years later. The promotion saw him join the business’s board and, as he details in this interview with Marketing Week’s editor-in-chief Russell Parsons, allowed him to focus “relentlessly” on making it a brand that listens to its customers.
