If you had floors and a desire to clean them then there is no doubt you will have heard of the Roomba. The AI-powered vacuum cleaner that scooted around your house, avoiding the furniture and scaring the living shit out of the cat.

Developed by American tech manufacturer iRobot and launched in 2002 the produce was a huge success, creating a category and hitting annual revenues of $1.56bn (£1.16bn) in 2021.
