Seen the Valentino AI ad? Don’t worry, here you go, I’ll wait. Back? Bloody awful, isn’t it? The very definition of AI slop that people were warning could flood the internet should this technology not have any quality control attached to it.

It’s an odd move for a luxury fashion brand. It doesn’t do a great job in promoting the attached product (if anything devaluing it). And it’s been met with a host of criticism. How did this happen?
